'Greater than' sign (>) when displaying configuration

What does the ‘greater than’ sign (>) indicate in a configuration?

When I am in configuration mode and enter “show” I see the configuration with some lines starting with ‘>’.

Maybe what I am seeing is the working configuration and those lines starting with ‘>’ are changes not committed. Can anyone confirm?

Hello, I think that
sign > displayed in work configuration replacing params
sign + adding params
sign - deleting params

And you right, this changes not committed.
