There is lacking documentation on this. How do I change the listening port of pdns-recursor. On 1.4 rolling editing /etc/powerdns/recursor.conf has no effect.
The current powerDNS settings are stored here, but they are overwritten every time you reboot or change settings:
/run/powerdns/
I think you can use containers:
