How to Verify ISO Build is Stable Release

Hello,

I ran through the docker build with “docker run --rm -it --privileged -v $(pwd):/vyos -w /vyos vyos/vyos-build:crux bash” to select the 1.2 Crux stable release, the build and iso completed as expected, but I’m not sure how to verify the build release.

I started up the rolling release and the crux build but ‘show version’ on both show the same ‘VyOS 1.2.0’ with same kernel versions, I don’t see any difference. Can anyone tell me how I can verify if my vyos-build is the current stable release and not the rolling release?

Thanks.

JR

AFAIK for release 1.2.3 LTS the command “show version” should show Build Commit ID 24f1a74bc88f3a

please somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m running the systems in live cd mode, do you think if I do the install to local disk it will update the ‘show version’ with the proper build number?

Thanks.
