I cannot get port-forwarding (DNAT) to work

Hey,

Hopefully someone knows my issue. I can’t get port 443 to open on the outside interface. I’ve been trying again and again and verifying with NMAP if port is open on the outside interface but to no prevail. I don’t know if it’s a bug or I am the bug.

Because I’m new I cannot upload the config to this post…

set nat destination rule 10 inbound-interface eth0 # change eth0 to your wan interface
set nat destination rule 10 protocol tcp
set nat destination rule 10 destination port 443
set nat destination rule 10 translation address 192.168.0.55 ### change internal IP to your server

# And if also port nat is required, which seems it is not required
set nat destination rule 10 translation port 123 ## change internal port

If you have no firewall rules, that should be enough

If it’s not working at all, it might pay to check your ISP hasn’t put you behind a CGNAT service (Carrier Grade NAT)
It’s becoming more common these days as public address space becomes tighter and tighter.
