Keymap change, looks right, but isn't

Hehey, i’m very new to vyos, but not to debian.
Until now i work with debian - frrouting and nftables, but vyos is really nice and well worked.

But i have such a little problem and i hope someone can help me.

It is the keymap, standard english, but i’m from swiss.

so i try: dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration the new settings are set.
i try : set console keymap it works, no error.

the localectl status is:
System Locale: LANG=de_CH.UTF-8
VC Keymap: ch
X11 Layout : ch
x11 model: pc105

But the keymap is still english … all settings looks like it is “ch”, but if i write it is “en”.

In german we say: i’m done with my latin. (be at one’s wits’ end ) - i need help.

happy greetings

the problem is, i got no error. all looks good.

EDIT: The problem is half solved, i install VyOS on a device, activate SSH and then i don’t have a Keyboard problem anymore.

what happens, if you reboot direct after the command
'sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration`
finished?

best regards
