I’m running 1.4 rolling and I wanted to setup remote syslog.
At first I failed because I entered a DNS record as target, that only has AAAA record, no A.
In tcpdump I saw that vyos tried to resolve and only asked for A, which failed.
It then also tried to ask for the same name, with the domain name of the device appended, again also only A.
I then entered the IPv6 address into the configuration, instead of the hostname. It then started working.
Is it by any chance a bug? I would expect DNS names to work, even if they only resolve to IPv6.
