Want to run Suricata & VYOS On Same Machine

Hi,

Is there any feasible option to install Suricata(IDS/IPS) & VYOS on the same machine.

Both should work simultaneously once its installed & configured on the same Linux machine.

VyOS 1.2 is based on Debian Jessie and I found it very easy to install debian packages. You will need to add repos and then I think you will be able to install suricata. But you need to understand that it won’t survive image upgrade

We would strongly recommend to avoid any additional software installation inside a VyOS routers.
