1.5-rolling - Local domain not added to DHCP hostnames

Hi all,

I’ve setup 1.5-rolling on a VM, and everything is working as expected so far (after understanding thing new firewall configuration options), except local DNS.

Every time a new DHCP lease is made, an entry is added to /etc/hosts as expect, however it is also the bare hostname (i.e. mbp) rather than being appended with the local domain I’ve configured (i.e. mbp.home.local).

I’m wondering if this is a quirk of the migration from ISC to Kea?

It is indeed a known issue since moving to Kea in 1.5. We’re looking into how to resolve it.

I had the same issue, and I I confirm it was fixed in a newer 1.5. I think it was 1.5-rolling-202401130024.
