Adding telegraf configuration values

I have a use case where i need to be able to configure some values in the telegraf configuration file but they are currently only generated as default values.

I need to be able to modify these generated values under [agent]
interval
collection_jitter
flush_interval
flush_jitter
debug

My key questions are:
Are their any core reasons why these values are not currently configurable.
Are other people interested in being able to configure these values.
Is this a feature that either I or someone else will be able to implement and merge with the vyos repository.

As for the set commands i am thinking of something like set service monitoring telegraf configuration agent interval 60s.

A workaround if you need to inject or change configs and restart services (so they read up on the changed configfile) is to utilize pre- or more likely post-hook scripting in VyOS:
