Can not Ping Local VLAN ip from other side

i have vyos 1.5 version and i have created 2 vlan on two interfaces ( eth0.100 , eth1.11) to one of my VLAN I have assigned IP add 192.168.51.5/24 and this vlan also in other machine which have IP 192.168.51.2/24 and my problem is when I try to ping from 192.168.51.2 to 192.168.51.5 I got icmp request time out I also enable global ping but still I cant ping to my vyos vlan IP, when I check the monitor traffic I can see request is coming but in other side I only see request time out

IP 192.168.51.2 > 192.168.51.5: ICMP echo request, id 26440, seq 5154, length 36
12:13:11.030959 IP 192.168.52.1 > 192.168.51.5: ICMP echo request, id 26440, seq 5410, length 36
12:13:11.270233 STP 802.1w, Rapid STP, Flags [Learn, Forward], bridge-id 100b.00:2a:6a:d3:34:3c.809b, length 42

can someone help me to resolve this issue ?

These are in the same network so the router isn’t routing that packet from one side to the other because it’s not supposed to as far as I understand it. If you were to change your 192.168.51.5/24 to 192.168.52.5/24 I would expect it to work as expected.

I’m wondering how you’re specifying the interface the ping goes out of.

it was a vyos setting issue… i just reinstall and did setting again and all work fine now. thanks
