Can we achieve L3 or L2 bridging mode?

Hi Team,

I need to inspect the packets going from firewall to my switch hence wondering instead of putting vyos in L3 mode - can we put that in L3 bridge more or l=L2 bridge mode so that I can take ceratin action on packets traversing through appliance?

create a bridge interface then let the network interface join the bridge ?

Yes - I replicated that scenario in our lab and it worked as desired.
