Connect your internet uplink cable to the interface you want to use as WAN and configure that as DHCP-client and it should work if your ISP hands out IP-addresses based on DHCP. Otherwise configure it statically according to information you have obtained from your ISP.
no, the question is another thing.
I 've a main router to reach internet. One router A port is linked to a lan port of the vyos box.
If I set the vyos box with static ip address isnt possible to reach internet trough vyos box , otherwise with dhcp ip release it is possible…
fiber ont → router A (dhcp server with 192.16.1.x addresses ) → Vyos box with 4 port ethernet card.
If you use static IP you must also configure a default gateway otherwise your VyOS doesnt know how to reach the internet.
And the clients must have access to a DNS resolver (internal or external such as 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 or the ones from your ISP) so they can resolve example.com into an IP-address.
