I just upgraded my old Zotac CI232 based firewall to a newer Intel N100 cpu mini PC with dual rtl8125b 2.5GB NICs.
seems to be working very well though I have not tried it at full bandwidth as I don’t have a 2.5G switch.
This is a nice form factor for a home firewall as it is a compact dual NIC fanless design that sits on my switch. The smallest 4G RAM / 128G eMMC configuration is more than enough for VyOS

running VyOS Stream 1.5-2025-Q2
It uses about 5.2 W running VyOS… though interestingly Xubuntu Linux used about 4.5W idle.
