As mentioned before, tagging our discussions can significantly enhance our community’s search functionality, ensuring you can easily find the information you seek. While I’ve already tagged hundreds of posts, there is still more work to be done.

Let’s explore how to use the advanced search feature effectively:

How to use advanced search in our community?
Searching for specific topics or discussions within our community is simple the advanced search feature. Whether you’re solving a problem or searching a particular subject, advanced search can help you find precisely what you need.

Accessing Advanced Search:

1. Click on the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the community forum.

2. In the search bar click on the setting icons on the right side.
   

   

3. A new window will appear, allowing you to add filters. You can further refine your query by adding keywords and tags, which enables you to combine various search criteria for precise results.

Using advanced search options:
In the advanced search menu, you’ll find several options to refine your search:

Search by Category: Select a particular category or subforum from the dropdown menu to focus your search.
Search by Tag: Use tags to categorize posts. Enter tags to narrow down your search.
Search by Post Type: Choose between topics, posts, or other criteria to target the type of content you need.

Tips for effective searching:

• Use specific keywords for clarity and precision.
• Adjust your search criteria if you don’t find what you’re looking for initially.

One drawback of tagging old posts is that they suddently gets unread even if the last post in that thread is very old.

Would it be possible so when a thread gets tags added/removed that this wouldnt trigger that the thread is unread?
