I want to use vmxnet3, I think I can’t use it if vmtools isn’t installed.
vmtools needs the kernel headers, and some build tools.
How can I get those?
Vyos helium is supposed to drivers for vmxnet3, so it should just work.
open-vm-tools is supported by VMware:

I recommend do not upgrade vm hardware, 8 its fine
