ISC DHCP is EOLed - alternatives?

Hi,

I just saw the announcement, that ISC DHCP is deprecated and EOL:

Apparently, one suggestion is ISC Kea, which is open-source, and also from ISC. (Source code)

There’s some general comments on Kea here, and it seems to have been fairly reliable for most people there.

Thoughts?

What else could VyOS move to that is more modern and still supported?

I would second a vote for kea.

There was a suggestion to use KEA in the T3316
We should use actual packages but not break all features present in the current DHCP/DHCPv6 that we use.
