In the latest nightly build we are getting:

Nov 8 21:40:21 nyc1 systemd[1]: Failed to reset devices.list on /system.slice: Invalid argument
Nov 8 21:41:06 nyc1 kernel: [ 125.067078] i40e 0000:07:00.1: Rx/Tx is disabled on this device because an unsupported SFP module type was detected.
Nov 8 21:41:06 nyc1 kernel: [ 125.193235] i40e 0000:07:00.1: Refer to the Intel® Ethernet Adapters and Devices User Guide for a list of supported modules.

and of course a bunch of interfaces not working to go along with it

This is have nothing to do with VyOS
and it’s not a bug, you need to use supported qsfp

thanks. I believe this was working with 1.1 although possible card was changed.

transceivers also appear to be fake errr

#4

that is intel who changes behaviour in drivers

#5

Heads up anyone with this same issue: update the NVM on the card(s) and it may work. worked for me!
