Kernel modules for jool packages missing after making ISO

I decided to try my hand at integrating jool into VyOS. Starting with the packages themselves, both jool-dkms and jool-tools install just fine during the build process.
Doing this on the latest current branch.

But when I install the ISO onto a machine, the kernel modules are missing.

This is all I see when searching the filesystem for jool.

I noticed that wireguard has a similar mechanism for installation, yet it’s kernel modules do end up getting installed somehow.

So my question is, am I missing some magic that VyOS uses for packages installing kernel modules?

Hoping you guys have some tips to get me moving to the next point.

So it appears we can’t use dkms on VyOS. And for Wireguard you guys have created a custom package.
