L2TP VPN IPv6 support

I have setup an L2TP VPN on VyOS. It’s completely functional, but I want clients to be able to connect over IPv6 as well.

I cannot find any good methods or even any documentation on IPv6 support in the L2TP VPN. I’m aware that xl2tpd doesn’t have IPv6 support, but not sure if my knowledge is actual.

Can anyone advice me?

As I see, currently xl2tpd don’t support IPv6, but there is old branch ipv6 in repository. So, maybe a little possibility for using IPv6 sometime is exist. Also, it is possible that VyOS will move to some other solution for L2TP, which support IPv6 out of the box.
