MAP-T map-br role feature

Hello,
Trying to set up a map-t border router using VyOS, as inspired by the Cable Labs technical report CL-TR-MAP-V01-160630, it seems the feature “interfaces map…” has vanished.

Is there any module I should include, any patch I should import, to get the MAP-T Border Router role out of a VyOS appliance ?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
i received your request on web too.
i don’t think it’s implemented currently, but i see as it could be good feature
i will add it to roadmap

Provided I can get a couple of clues to get in, it’s something I could help for. I’m already quite deeply involved in the MAP-T side, and interested in moving on the MAP-BR.

A VM image exists, pointed in the doc I am relating to, with an old VyOS VM featuring the MAP-BR feature, no clue how it’s been in.

https://owncloud.cablelabs.com/index.php/s/6b90dd5ce36177120e91330652d92810 has the ova file, the disk 4 is the Vyatta OS disk image.

I would also be interested in this feature, especially MAP-T for the CPE side. @syncer Should I open a feature request on phabricator? I couldn’t find anything related on the public roadmap.

Yes, a phabricator should be fine
please add 1.4 project tag there
Thanks!

Does anyone have a link to the Feature Request?

I’d like to add my support for MAP-T (and potentially MAP-E) since it’s a really solid IPv6 transition mechanism for ISPs.

Hi @andrew,

Here is the link: ⚓ T3260 MAP-T/MAP-E for CPE and BR

is it available the MAP-T feature on the current rolling release ?

thanks

no, that feature wasn’t implemented
