Please, give a command to configure keyboard language

I’ve tried with sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration but finally it fails with the error:
update-rc.d: warning: start and stop actions are no longer supported; falling back to defaults
and nothing changes.

Reboot after the dpkg-reconfigure shows the warning.
