Its is very important feature to rate limit traffic based on ip address/subnet. Its is used in countless scenarios. But unfortunately its missing in vyos

Is it? Perhaps you meant to say “I think it is very important” ?

The joy of open source is you could contract someone to write this feature for you if it’s mission critical.
