The length of syslogs

Dear All,

Is there a way to extend the maximum length of system logs on 1.3.2? From what I see, the maximum length is not more than 24 hours, maybe even less.

We logrotate the syslog - you can find old versions here: ls -al /var/log/

Thank you @c-po. The very likely reason for this short rotation cycle at my box is that the log is full of failed ssh login attempts. I will prohibit ssh on the public interface.
