Vyos 1.3 corosync+pacemaker

Hi Folks,

T985 for VyOS 1.3 mentions a possible move to corosync+pacemaker to support heartbeat within a cluster. Is there any tentative release date for 1.3, and will corosync/pacemaker be included in this release.

God I hope corosync+pacermaker doesn’t bare any fruit.

It’s an absolute nightmare to manage and the processing overhead isn’t ideal for small embedded routers.

I would suggest something like keepalived which uses standard VRRP under the hood would be a better fit.

VRRP already there, however, clustering have it own benefits
