VyOS as Access Point

Hello,

few days ago I came across the VyOS and noe I want to test it at home. Actually I was thinking about configuring a vyos based access point. I am also pretty new to routing hardware and the routing. Dies it make sense installing a vyOS on Alix board and configuring it to a AP vor should I geht another Router Software for it?

I have used Vyatta before on an old thin client to create an AP, just as a proof of concept, but the speed was abysmal. You really need good Wireless cards in order for it to work well.

Thanks for the hint! Do you know some wireless cards with good performance, which are supported by vyos?
