What does the DHCP shared-network-name refer to

Hi there,

I am trying to set up some VLANs with separate IP-networks and therefore having a DHCP service in each VLAN.
When setting up DHCP one of the options is “shared-network-name” which seems to be valid if it is a no-whitspace-containing string.
What ist this “shared-network-name” setting for?
Only to stick the DHCP commands together?

Kind regards
Kai

It is merely the name for the DHCP pool.

Thanks for clarification!
