Ospfv3 crash without restart

I’m continuing to experience this error that is also noticed here:

ospfv3/ospf6d crashing

anyone else having problems with ospfv3 crashing? if I run show ipv6 ospfv3 neighbor it will be blank. tried sudo /etc/init.d/vyatta-quagga restart ospf6d doesn’t seem to help, it then just says OSPFv3 is not running seem to have the problem on version 1.0.4, 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 any ideas? just to quickly add to this, the only thing which maybe slightly different to a standard config is that we are using two areas show protocols ospfv3 area 0.0.0.0 { interface eth1 range ::/0 { advertis…

how can I restart the ospfv3 service when it crashes since there doesn’t seem to be a reliable process watchdog for it.

versions 1.1.x are EOL now
you should try on latest rolling or 1.2 lts

I’m on the latest 1.1.2 release from a few weeks ago and this has been an issue for a while. If there is a CPU lockup the ospfv3 process dies, but the ospf ipv4 process survives. I’m still testing with the latest release from last week.
